Described in article 15 of Council Regulation 793/93 (also known as Existing Substances Regulation); Committee composed of the representatives of the Member States and chaired by the representative of the Commission; votes on risk reduction measures before they are published as directives in the Official Journal of the EU. The Committee is also responsible for providing a number of other duties under specific points (Articles 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14) of the CR 793/93/EEC.
