De Quervain's syndrome (medical condition)

Inflammation of the tendons in the thumb which can be very painful. It can be caused by overuse of the thumb or wrist which can occur in activities such as knitting, skiing and lifting heavy objects. The condition primarily occurs in females aged 30 to 50 years. See also De Quervains' disease
