EC 3.4.21.36, EC 3.4.21.37, and EC 3.4.21.71; group of serine endopeptidases, secreted by neutrophils, macrophages, mast cells, the pancreas, and certain bacteria, that catalyze the cleavage of elastin and other proteins.
