Silver syndrome

(sil´vәr) Silver-Russell syndrome (sil´vәr rus´әl) a syndrome consisting of low birth weight despite normal length of gestation, short stature, lateral asymmetry, and slight to moderate increase in excretion of gonadotropins, which may be associated with incurved fifth fingers, café-au-lait spots, syndactyly, triangular face, downturned corners of the mouth, and precocious puberty. Called also Russell syndrome or dwarfism, Russell- or dwarfism, and Silver-Russell dwarfism.
