Candesartan

A synthetic antihypertensive benzimidazole-carboxylate derivative, Candesartan Cilexetil (Candesartan prodrug) selectively blocks angiotensin ll binding to specific receptors, inducing vasodilation and reduced aldosterone production. With other hypotensive agents, it is indicated in hypertension. (NCI04)
