APC compound

an analgesic tablet drug combination containing aspirin, phenacetin, and caffeine. Widely used from the 1940s through 1960s; original constituents of popular over-the-counter pain remedies. Use currently much diminished because of concerns about potential renal injury caused by the phenacetin.
