Hyperglycinemia, isolated nonketotic, type 2 (medical condition)

A rare genetic disorder characterized by high blood glycine levels. It is caused by a defect in the T protein (tetrahydrofolate-requiring enzyme) in the energy creating center of cells (mitochondria). See also Glycine synthase deficiency, type 2
